This is definitely an activity that stretches across age groups from 5 - 12! All you need are a bunch of superpowers, a few settings + problems, and some verbs. Easy!! Just like the lucky dip story, the surprise element of this is really motivating for kids, and the more fun and interesting the powers and settings, the more imaginations will be inspired. This is a great activity to challenge creative thinking and problem-solving skills!
Character Cooking
Today’s activity was ‘Character cooking’ - inventing, making and baking our own exciting characters to use as inspiration for some stories! We had some Fimo in the house, but if you don’t have any you can make your own bakable clay, or even make edible characters out of puff pastry or cookie dough. This fun and engaging activity should consume at least a couple of hours (extra if you’re making the bakable clay!) 😉
